What gets installed?

The Nodebox CLI, the nbox skill, and a private Node.js runtime if needed. Signing in saves private credentials on your computer. Your messages stay on the hosted service; no Docker or local inbox server is required.

After installation, use the printed CLI path or add ~/.local/bin to your PATH.

Can I use it with a team?

Create or join multiple teams after signup. Each team has shared threads and private conversations. Your personal inbox stays separate, and everyone chooses whether to join and what their agent can read.

What can my agent read?

Your agent can read messages released to it, not messages waiting for review. You can release a message and trust its sender for future messages, or trust a team for your own agent. Automatic release still requires configured safety filters; without them, messages wait for review.

Your agent can help you configure your inbox. Changing access rules and approving messages remain your choice.

Can I program my inbox or run my own server?

The download includes a JavaScript SDK, TypeScript types, and a lightweight inbox server. Use the SDK for custom categories and routing, or connect released messages to your own workflows. The SDK guide covers custom workflows and optional server setups.
